Fresh out of the fashion scene, Karen had been working at a number of fashion companies, designing clothing, scarves, outerwear while studying fashion at F.I.T. and in Italy. Karen Curtis started her jewelry company in 2000. Focusing her work towards the grass-roots knowledge she had acquired while in camp as a child and young adult. Karen started creating jewelry using the metal-smithing techniques she had learned in the past, with her newly developed skills in color design. The result was fantastic! Beautiful bursting color stories of Swarovski crystals, meticulously placed into necklaces, bracelets and earrings. The company has since evolved doubling its employee staff (husband Aaron Niemczyk), and branching into a home decor series. From Timeless antique chandeliers, to new modern handblown glass pendant lights, Karen crystallizes each light with amazing color and sophistication. Glass blowing being the newest edition to her collections, bring the pop of color her jewelry has been known for, to a more decorative object for the home.
